Tomebamba River runs through the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. The river provides a natural separation between Cuenca's historic district and the modern area to the south. This river features scenic walking paths along its north bank and several indigenous ruins. It has sidewalks on both sides of the river, with several bridges to cross over. There are several places where you can take great pictures, one of them is the "Matadero" or "Puente Rio Roto" (Broken bridge.)
