Galápagos Islands (Insular Region)

Galápagos Islands or just "Galápagos" are known locally as the "Insular" region and officially as Archipiélago de Colón. This region is located about 1000 km west of the Ecuadorian coast. It is frequently visited by tourist to enjoy its enchanted islands. The Galápagos Islands are famous for their endemic species, their remarkable marine life, and the studies carried out by Charles Darwin.

The main attraction is the Galápagos National Park and Marine Reserve; where you can find marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, Galápagos tortoises, Galápagos penguins, dolphins, frigatebirds, waved albatrosses, and more. Climate is warm and dry year-round.
