Zamora is a beautiful and peaceful town. It is the capital of Zamora Chinchipe, Ecuador. This town is located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, known for its gold-mining, bird-watching, and beautiful waterfalls. Zamora is also called either the "Mining Capital of Ecuador" or the "City of Birds and Waterfalls." About the altitude, Zamora has an elevation of 3,180 feet (970 meters) above sea level.
Among the things you can do in Zamora are visiting the central park, located in the center of Zamora. The central park has beautiful gardens and a fountain with a parrot on top. You can also visit the beautiful church that is right in front of the park. It should be noted that everywhere in the town you can see a huge clock on the hillside made of steel and grass.
