Maldonado Park, "Parque Maldonado" in Spanish, also known as "Parque Pedro Vicente Maldonado" or simply as "Plaza Mayor", is the first planned plaza in Riobamba, Ecuador. Maldonado Park is located in the historic center of the city, it is surrounded by important buildings such as the Municipality and the Cathedral. The most dominant feature of Parque Maldonado is a statue in the middle of the park — it is also a great place to take pictures. — On each of the four sides of the park, there is a small bronze fountain.
