Bucay

Bucay is a small town located in the province of Chimborazo, Ecuador. This is around a 90-minute drive east of Guayaquil. Bucay is a place full of nature. It has a cloud forest and many waterfalls. A traditional drink of the place is the delicious juice of cane, made at the moment. In fact, some tourists that visit Guayaquil usually take a day to go to Bucay and explore its waterfalls. To take full advantage of this adventure, it is recommended to start at 7:00 am and arrived back by 4:00 pm — This is to avoid rush hour and take advantage of natural light.

There is a route to visit each one of the waterfalls. It will take you to a dozen waterfalls such as Piedra Blanca. The road to each waterfall is rocky and narrow. So, make sure you have good shoes, comfortable clothing, and a swimsuit. Some of the waterfalls are inside private properties that charge an entrance fee of $2 more or less, while tours make cost around $30.
