Sucumbíos is an Ecuadorian province. Its capital is Nueva Loja; also known as Lago Agrio. This province is famous for its biodiversity. It is home of hundreds of bird species, as well as many animals that live in the Amazon rainforest.
Sucumbíos' main attractions are the Cuyabeno Reserve, the Limoncocha National Biological Reserve, the Reventador volcano and the Laguna Grande (big lagoon). Climate is humid tropical, and hot.
Local holiday is the Provincialization of Sucumbíos on February 13.
