El Condor Park is located on top of the Pukara alto hill, near Otavalo. "Parque El Condor" in Spanish provides an amazing 360-degree panoramic view over Imbabura & Cotacachi volcanoes, the town of Cotacachi and Cuicocha crater. It is a non-profit wildlife refuge for owls and raptors, including the endangered condor. El Condor Park is also home to a number of spectacular raptors and other eye-catching birds, all of them have been rescued from illegal captivity or trafficking, or are recovering from injury.
This bird rescue center is one of Otavalo’s must-see attractions. Otavalo is a pretty little town, a couple of hours bus ride north of Quito, Ecuador. Otavalo is largely famous for its market. If you do not have a car, the easiest way to get there from the city of Otavalo is to take a taxi. The park is located 5 minutes away from Otavalo. You can hit El Lechero on the road.
