Centenario Park, Parque del Centenario in Spanish, is a small park in Guayaquil, it is less than four blocks in size, but has many monuments that display some of the city’s history. In the center of the Centenario Park, there is a tall monument to commemorate the independence of Guayaquil. The monument is known locally as “Columna de Los Próceres” or Founding Fathers Column.
