Babahoyo is the capital of the Los Ríos province, Ecuador. It is bordered by two rivers, the San Pablo River and the Caracol River, which join to form the Babahoyo River. About the altitude, Babahoyo has an elevation of 26 feet (8 meters) above sea level.
Some tourist attractions may be reached navigating down the Babahoyo river and visiting the Hacienda House of José Joaquín de Olmedo — a famous Ecuadorian writer. Babahoyo's main holidays are the Provincialization of Los Ríos on October 6 and the Foundation of Babahoyo on May 27.
