Green Lagoons – "Lagunas Verdes" in Spanish – are located in the Carchi province, Ecuador. This is at the southwest of the Chiles volcano. The green lagoons are three small lakes of volcanic origin; its water is naturally combined with sulfide and other chemicals that spring up from the volcanic floor, giving the lagoons a green color appearance.
