Sanctuary of the Virgen del Guayco or Virgen de la Quebrada is located in La Magdalena, 2 mi. (5 km.) of the Chimbo canton in the province of Bolívar, Ecuador. This sanctuary is one of the most visited places by Catholic devotees throughout the country and those who do religious tourism. The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Guayco is a beautiful and peaceful place that is surrounded by mountains and nature.

The main festival of San José de Chimbo celebrates the Virgen del Guayco, on September 8 of each year, with masses every hour. Many people make a pilgrimage on foot, which begins in the Chambo to the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Guayco.

In addition to the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, the Chapel of Forgiveness, the Sacristy, the Chapel and the Altarpiece of the Baptism of Jesus, the Altar Altarpiece, the Chapel of the Resurrection, and the Grotto and Image of the Virgin.
