Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rocio is a beautiful place located in the town of Biblian, in the province of Cañar, Ecuador. Church has a gothic style, built on the top of a hill with uneven slopes. The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rocio was carved into rocks that leave areas of bare rock within the church. This sanctuary is supported by 49 granite columns between which arches alternate and hang beautiful wrought iron and crystal chandeliers. If you go up to the sanctuary, you will be rewarded with an excellent view of the city. The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rocío receives thousands of visitors from different parts of Ecuador.
