Huaquillas is a city in the province of El Oro. Huaquillas is located on the border of Ecuador and Peru, near the coast. The town is quite small, visitors can walk through most places. The square in the center of the city is small but nice.
The main economic activity of Huaquillas is the sale and commercialization of goods that supply the southern part of Ecuador and the northern part of Peru. Due to this, the merchants of Huaquillas accept the currency of either of the two countries.
