Santa Elena province

Santa Elena is a coastal Ecuadorian province. Its capital shares the same name. Santa Elena is located on an Ecuadorian peninsula near the city of Guayaquil. This province has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

At the tip of the peninsula of Santa Elena, there is La Chocolatera. And, sitting atop a hill overlooking the whole Santa Elena peninsula is a viewpoint called El Morro.

Local holidays are Provincialization of Santa Elena on November 7, Cantonization of Santa Elena on January 22, Cantonization La Libertad on April 14, Cantonization of Salinas on December 22.
