Pimpilala waterfalls

Pimpilala waterfalls are located in the community of Cando, parish Talag, southwest of the city of Tena. Tena is the capital of the Napo province, in the Amazon Region of Ecuador. Pimpilala waterfalls are a total of 6 waterfalls, but it is noteworthy that only 4 of them are accessible. The waterfalls are located in the Llanganates National Park. The word "Pimpilala" means "place of butterflies" in the Quechua language, this is because the place that houses the waterfalls is populated by a great variety of butterflies.

Pimpilala waterfalls vary in heights from 10 to 20 meters, with a temperature of approximately 59 °F to 65°F (15 °C to 18 °C), making it is possible to take and enjoy a bath. The entrance to the waterfalls is free. There are some cabins available for rent $10 a night
