Portoviejo

Portoviejo is the capital of Manabí, Ecuador. Also known as the "City of the Royal Tamarind Trees" — Tamarind is the fruit of beautiful trees found all around the city — Portoviejo has good road connections to Quito and Guayaquil. About the altitude, Portoviejo has an elevation of ‎174 feet (53 meters) above sea level.
