Protected Forest of Peguche Waterfall

Protected Forest of Peguche is one of the most beautiful rainforests in northern Ecuador. This forest has a big area for camping and picnics. As well as a well-maintained trail system with facilities along the way. A short walk from the entrance following the trails leads to the Peguche waterfall. The fall is the protected forest main attraction. "Bosque Protector Cascada de Peguche" in Spanish.

Wear fresh clothing, comfortable shoes, and bring bug repellant. Although, there is a restaurant inside the premises. It is a good idea to carry a bottle of water with you as well as some snacks.

From Otavalo, you can walk to the Forest of Peguche. It takes a 30-minute. Also, there are buses at the Simon Bolivar central park, they leave every 20 minutes. Taking a taxi costs $2,00. The park entrance is free. Another attraction nearby is the Condor Park.
